I am a video artist from Louisville, Kentucky, with a passion for capturing rhythm — in music, in performance, in the small moments that make a place or a person feel real.

My path here wasn't exactly a straight line. I grew up half Chinese and half Scottish/Norwegian, with travel as a huge part of my childhood — I fell in love with the world early. One of my favorite memories is training with a field hockey camp in Barcelona, which was my first time traveling alone. That sport was a constant for thirteen years, from age five all the way through my first year at college. At the same time, I was a theater kid throughout middle and high school, which meant I grew up used to being watched — the spotlight and the pressure of performance became second nature, whether I was on a stage or a field.

Music has always been the through-line. I sang in choir for seven years, and to this day I feel most alive at a concert, in rehearsal, or just singing along to something loud. That pull toward music actually shaped my entire academic path — I started college at Goucher College studying Asian Studies and Music, then transferred to the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, where I found my way to Communications with a specialization in multimedia design. Somewhere between the stage, the field, and the classroom, video became the place where all of it came together.

Since then, I've built experience across live events, broadcast production, and digital content — from filming and editing news segments to running AV for small-scale events to capturing live music and performance on camera.

What I care about most is the same thing that's always pulled me in: the feeling of a moment, whether it's a packed venue or a quiet shot of a place that means something.
